We are very pleased to announce the release of our second training initiative for Māori journalists.

The Taumatua Programme is a series of four e-learning modules, exploring the importance of building and strengthening relationships between the media and Māori.

It also looks at the key values, concepts and protocols that enhance positive Māori connections.

The Taumatua Programme follows the release in 2022 of the Kōmiromiro Programme, a series of seven e-learning modules designed to strengthen Māori journalism and which include training on: interviewing techniques, court reporting, local government reporting, feature and opinion writing and much more.
